Cake of Eden is a small, home-based bakery in Aberdeen, run by Emily. Here's how it began.

How it started

A hobby that became a passion

Emily started baking during Covid. What began as something to do soon became a passion, and one she wanted to share with the rest of her community.

After baking for friends and family, she started selling cupcakes in London. That was when Cake of Eden was born. The business grew quickly and before long Emily was baking for repeat customers who kept coming back for more.

Growing a business alongside a demanding full-time job wasn't easy, and after a year or two Cake of Eden came to a halt.

In 2026, after plenty of encouragement from close friends, Emily decided to relaunch, this time in Aberdeen, and this time determined to make the most of it.

Baking is Emily's creative outlet. She designs and tailors every cake to each customer's preferences, and every bake is made at home using natural ingredients sourced from local suppliers.

Working together

We love baking for Aberdeen's community: independent shops, salons, studios and offices looking for branded cupcakes, client gifts or a sweet table for an event. We're also happy to talk to local press, food writers and creators.

Collection is from our home kitchen in Aberdeen, an easy pick-up for the city and the surrounding area, including Cults, Bieldside, Westhill, Dyce, Bridge of Don, Cove, Portlethen, Stonehaven, Banchory and Inverurie.
